We started Studio Norm in 2018 with a simple rule: take fewer projects, do them properly. We've stuck to it.
The studio sits above a printing press in Seoul's Mapo district — which is convenient when we're making books, and pleasantly noisy when we're not.
Half of us trained in design. The other half came from elsewhere: editorial, architecture, software, fashion. We think that mix is what keeps the work from looking like everyone else's.
We work mostly with founders and small teams — people who care about the details and have the patience to wait for them. Our average engagement runs eight to twelve weeks. Some have run two years.
